Read papers locally
Open a CAJ, KDH, or NH document from your device. Pages are prepared inside your browser; your paper is not uploaded or saved automatically. You can replace or close a document while it is opening.
Navigate the document
Use the page number, previous and next controls, or page overview to move through a paper. The overview includes thumbnails and a table of contents when available. Fit the page or its width, adjust the zoom, rotate pages, or enter focus reading for more space.
Search and select text where genuine document text is available. Scanned pages remain images: this viewer does not perform OCR. Keyboard users can tab into the reading area, use the page controls, and press Escape to leave an open overview, search, or focus mode.
Format compatibility
The file extension does not identify every internal variant. CAJ documents containing PDF page objects and KDH documents containing PDF content are supported. Image-based HN-A documents, including NH files with HN-A content, and C8 image pages use experimental support. Check important equations, tables, and diagrams against the original. Some contents entries may be unavailable or adjusted.
Native HN-B and C8 text pages that require separate fonts cannot be displayed here. Protected documents, TEB variants, damaged pages, and unsupported content receive an explanation. CAA reference files contain no readable paper pages; their targets are never fetched. Text extraction and visual fidelity depend on the original document and its internal variant.
Privacy and large documents
Document contents are processed locally. No account, remote document resources, editing, PDF download, or OCR is involved. There is no fixed file-size or page-count quota. Very demanding files can still exceed browser memory or drawing limits; closing the document releases its reading resources.
